Valentines recipe. 

Hi guys, I thought I would give you a nice recipe that you can make for your valentine :)

I am going to give you a recipe for fruit tartlets. I have made these in my catering class and I'm going to make them for my actual catering exam so they are very good. 

You will need:
150g plain flour 
75g butter
2-3 tbsp cold water
125g mascarpone cheese
50ml double cream
100g white chocolate 
100g fruit like raspberries or strawberries

Instructions:

1. Place your flour and butter into a food processor and mix until it resembles breadcrumbs. Then slowly add a bit of water until it sticks together.
2. Roll out your pastry and place into your tartlet tins. Place some grease proof inside and then place some baking beans or rice on top and put in the oven to blind bake for about 20-25 minutes.
3. Melt the white chocolate and mix with your mascarpone cheese .
4. Whip up the cream and add it to the mix.
5. Place the mixture into the pastry cases and leave to set
6. Decorate with the fruit.

DIY Jar of Hearts 

This is literally, a jar of hearts filled to the brink with sweetness!

What you will need:

• Different coloured pieces of paper (Red, Dark Pink, Light Pink)
• Scissors
• Black Pen
• Glue
• A clean jar (washed)
• Patterned paper
• Washi Tape (Decorative Tape)
• String
• Heart shaped chocolates with the wrapper on
• and finally a valentine/your love/thousands of compliments

Method:

1. First of all, draw reasonably sized heart shapes onto one sheet of your paper. You should be able to write short, but sweet statements on each one. 
2. Next, grab all you other colours and align the pieces of paper together. Start cutting out multiple hearts. By doing this, you will be speeding up this process!
3. After you have cut all the hearts out, write down your compliments for your valentine. Be 100% genuine of course!
4. Take a chocolate heart, and place some glue on the wrapper. now, take on of your hearts, and stick the flat side of the chocolate to the back of your heart, so that the compliment is at the front and has a chocolate heart on the back.
5. Do this for the majority-if not all the hearts and let them dry for about 10-20 minutes. After the waiting process, place your hearts into the CLEAN jar!
6. Now, it is time to decorate the actual jar. Take some washi tape and wrap it round the lid's side, near the rim. You can also create a label and stick it on. You could name your jar as the "Jar Of Hearts" or simply your valentine's name. It's up to you! Additonally, using some pretty string, tie a little bow for decorative purposes around the neck of the jar. It should be looking fabulous!
7. And that is it! Take it to your valentine and be reason why they have a huge grin on their face everyday!

The Impossible

There was a girl, a very timid girl, who we'll call Beaten Down. She was known to those around her as the girl who never spoke. The girl who never opened up to anyone. She was the beauty without a pulse. Impossible to get through to. Eventually, people gave up on her. People never gave her a second thought, and she liked it that way. Now, let's meet the boy. The boy's name was Broken. He'd been through hell and back, been hardened to the toughest shell a mind could perceive. He spoke, unlike Beaten Down, but whenever he did, the words were slick with venom. They bit hard. So these two carried life on, hating almost every second of it, until neither of them could take it anymore. When Beaten Down reached that point, that was when she met Broken, and when Broken met Beaten Down. They met, and they felt. They felt for the first time, a small flicker of hope, a tiny flame of happiness erupted within them. Through her tears, through his rage, they found each other. They held each other, held onto that hope and that happiness. Beaten Down loved him because he loved her. Broken loved her because she could see him, really see him beneath his veil. Even so, they knew that this wasn't supposed to happen. A small little girl with a heart hardly held together by a thread and a boy with an angry soul and cold heart should not be together. They didn't match. But maybe, just maybe, sometimes things work differently. Maybe this was how it was supposed to work, this thing called love. So, even though it was forbidden, Beaten Down and Broken walked into the open abyss called love. They leaped off the edge together, and in that split second of adrenaline, they smiled and fell into the loving flames. They fell into love, forever holding the other together and eternally theirs.
