DIY: Crop top (by Private)

Gather the items you will need. This includes:
  •  A fitted shirt
  • Sharp scissors
  • Fabric glue
  • A marker or pencil
  • A ruler
Fold your shirt inside out and then put it on. Decide where you want the final length of your crop top to be and mark a line there. Then take it off. Just a notice that this ENTIRE process will be done with the shirt inside out, that way when you wear it all the ugly is hidden on the inside. After you’ve removed your shirt, make sure it is still inside out and now grab your ruler. Place the start of the ruler where you made your first line, and go 2 and a half inches down the ruler, making a new line there.
Now cut the excess shirt off at your new mark. In other words, cut the bottom of the shirt off starting from where you just drew that second line. Use the ruler to cut the shirt straight, it’s ok if it isn’t perfect!
All done! Flip your shirt so that the outside is now on the outside again, just like you would normally wear a shirt. If you do this DIY, post links to pictures in the comments below!
Most likely a step you should definitely follow..watch this video! This is the video that this tutorial is based off of, but I tweaked a few things to make it easier, such as skipping the step of cutting the sides and adding an extra mark. Click here to watch it.

It’s time for the fabric glue! Fold the bottom of your shirt over until it reaches the line you made on the shirt in the beginning. Make sure it’s even from front to back. Now, add fabric glue section by section, going around the shirt and making sure every edge is secured. Let it dry for 5 minutes or as directed on your fabric glue bottle.

The video is so hard to watch (barely noticed it) and wish there was pictures for the rest. <img src='/layout/nl/images/smileys/surprised.png' alt=':o'>

I know, thats also why I added a link because it'd be impossible to watch it in that box. Next time I do a DIY like this, I promise to include pictures so you can actually see what I'm doing and talking about.
