Unusual Pets (by Hardlykaty )

Capybara, also known as Giant Hamsters, weigh up to about 100 pounds! They can be aggressive and have sharp teeth. They need a lot of space, a pool for swimming, grass to graze on, and their food is really expensive. These pets are definitely not for everyone but some people just can't get enough of them! At $600 PLUS $3-8,000 for shipping, these hamsters are a handful.
Fennec Foxes are active and friendly that are about the size of a cat at only 3 and a half pounds. In a whole day, 15% of the time they're active, 20% their cuddly, and the rest they're sleeping! They require a lot of attention like a dog would and tend to be nosy at night because that is when they are sometimes most active. You can even train them to use a litter-box! At $1200 these cuddly buds come at a price but they can be worth it for those who can handle them!
Sugar Gliders are marsupials that are originally from Australia. Their name comes from the flap of skin between their ankles and wrists that allows them to glide from tree to tree and the fact that they feed off of nectar and sap. They are very social and like to live in pairs. They can live up to 14 years in captivity. Although they have sharp teeth and nails, they are only aggressive unless frightened. These adorable flyers cost about $125-150.
Stick insects are tropical bugs that grow up to about four inches. These bugs are very popular as pets in the UK. They live in enclosures at least three times the size of them and in temperatures of 75 F(24 C). They like to eat blackberries, rose, raspberries, rose, and ivy. Interesting enough, these bugs can reproduce without a male stick bug so if you buy one and don't want a lot of stick babies, buy a male! They're pretty cheap at under $10.
Although Skunks are usually avoided at all costs, they can actually make great pets! They can live in a house like a normal pet. Don't worry about being sprayed! You can have their scent glands taken out when they're young. They're active, stubborn, and curious, but also friendly and playful. These black and white fellas can be a handful to take care of though. They have a strict diet of lean protein, vegetables, fruits, and grains. They are most active at dusk and dawn and if they're not given all the attention they want they can get destructive. Believe if or not, these guys run for $150-500!

I have actually always wanted a skunk as a pet. They're so cute and fluffy!!! ♥ (Before you buy a skunk, they remove the stink glands so it can't spray you)
