Good morning, good afternoon or good evening or maybe even goodnight. I know I have to wait for almost a week until it's really Spring, but I love spring! The sun makes a big comeback every year after a cold of lame winter, I see baby animals everywhere and I also see happy people. And I can't forget that I can walk outside again without freezing my body!
So I'd like to tell a story about the past few months in my life. Normally I don't do that, but hey, it's friggin Spring, why not? In the past few months I hadn't enough vitamine D in my body. (Vitamine D is from the sun.) I was very tired and my body didn't work like it normally does. And every time when I could go to school, when I had enough energy, I saw a tree at the station. It wasn't growing as well as the trees around it. The trees around him already lost their leaves, so there could grow new, green leaves on it, but this tree still had ans has it's brown, old leaves. I was comparing the tree to myself. I had not so much energy, so I walked behind the rest with my schoolwork and such things. I lost my volunteer job and jobs at the church, just so I could rest. I felt very down. But I think it's called a winter depression. Now the sun is coming back and everyday when the sun is shining on my face, I'm enjoying it a lot! I'm smiling every time I feel the sun on my eyes. my energy is coming back, slowly. My concentration is getting better again. (I had an 8 on an English test last week, didn't expect that one.) I'm still looking to that tree every day. I think it might lose it's old, brown leaves very soon and it gets it's new, green leaves. New life, new energy. And that's happening with me too now.
Maybe you think now: "Ehm, Simone... what did I just read?" Well, it was my story and I wanted to tell it for weeks to someone, this was a nice oppurtunity.
Now the world is seperated in two parts: the Northern hemisphere and the Southern hemisphere. (If that translation isn't right, please improve me, so I can learn from the right translation.) The Northern hemisphere has Spring from the 20th of March till the 20th of June. After that the hottest season arrives: Summer.
On the Southern hemisphere the time of Spring is completely different. Spring starts there at the 22nd of September. That means that if I would go there, I would have a jetlag because of the big difference between the hemispheres. But it's also fascinating, because I could learn very much about this topic.
