MOTIVATION-

First tings off, eating healthy doesn’t always have to do anything about losing weight.
Personally, I started eating better in an attempt to lose weight for prom which is coming up soon. Eating well is over all better for your body, can make you feel better, and 
help clear up your skin. Maybe you want to gain weight and you’re having trouble managing. Weight is always a touchy subject to talk about and in no way am I saying that everyone needs to lose weight to be happy or be happy with themselves. This is simply an article talking about motivation/eating right if it’s something you want to do.

I am probably the least motivated person ever. It took being pretty overweight to give me the kick in the butt I needed to make a change in my diet. The number one advice I can give on motivation is thinking about the end result that your aiming for. Whether it’s getting those abs you’ve always wanted for summer, training for a marathon, fitting into a dress you wore last year, or just cleaning up what you eat so that you feel better. Picturing yourself in the months to\come is probably the best way to keep yourself going.

One of the other things that I do is keep a collection on weHeartIt of things that keep me inspired. Now, this is where a line gets drawn. When turning to social media for inspiration, a lot of self-harm and eating disorders will usually come up whenever you look up anything to do with weight. Starving yourself isn’t going to get you where you want to be. I always make sure to look up tags like ‘healthy’, 'workouts’, and 'fit’. There is a difference between being skinny and being healthy. Some people are born thin and can eat whatever they want. Other workout and eat clean. One is something that’s given while the other is something they work towards. The last thing I want to say is to have patience. If you finally get started on your 
journey, you have to realize that whatever your goal is, it’s not going to happen over night. If you’re losing weight, it is said that it will take six weeks for your close friends and
family to notice. It’s a gradual change over a course of time. Don’t give up and keep
thinking about that end goal!

EATING HEALTHY-
I’ll be honest and say that I pretty much never exercise. I’m in a show choir at school
and I’m dancing for a little at school but other than that I’m lazy as hell so eating
healthy is pretty important for me. Keeping yourself healthy is balancing what you eat
with your physical activity.

The basics of cleaning up my eating consisted of not eating anymore fast food, cutting out soda, and cutting down on sugars and carbs. I started eating lots of fruits, fish, hummus, and protein. If I’m not eating that then I’ll eat what I usually do but just in smaller portions.

I feel like eating healthy is generally common sense however, although you may be eating
better it doesn’t mean that you can’t have anything you like ever and make yourself miserable. One burger from McDonalds or three slices or pizza isn’t going to destroy you. It’s good to still enjoy yourself and treat yourself. You just need to know when it’s too much.

No matter what you look like or weigh, you’re perfect the way you are and should be happy.
