Study tips and hacks (by Account deleted)

You know what would make your life easier? Better study techniques. This way it would take a shorter amount of your time and you wouldn't be sitting like me right now, doing homework. So I did some research and found those tips that I want to share with you:

1. Highlighters are great! But don't go like this:

Try and limit yourself to a few words for the best result. You would think that the information will automatically transfer to your brain, but it doesn't. Also, try and find the color that works best for you. I know it may sound weird, but pink usually stresses me out while blue feels more peaceful.

2. Are you trying to remember a quote or something like a proverb, a phrase? I have the perfect solution for you. Instead of googling the words you remember and let the space blank for those that you don't, try replacing them with *.

3. Don't use google.som to search information for your essays. Use scholar.google.com instead. You will get much more relevant information.

4. Did you forget a textbook at home or at school? Just goggle the name of it + filetype:pdf. Also, you can find free lectures if you type in the subject that you want to learn about + filetype:pdf.

5. Are you a clumpy person like me? You have probably pressed caps lock multiple times while trying to write your essay. If you're writing in Office Word simply press shift+ F3.

6. So you don't even have Office Word on your computer at home? Use Microsoft Office Online. It took me a while to figure out that, but I'm glad I did. This works the same way and you can find it here . In order to gain access to it log in with your Microsoft account. You can also find other application like PowerPoint, OneNote etc.

7. Do you easily get distracted? Block the stuff that make you waste time with an internet blocker app. I recommend to search after the one that suits you best. There are both ones with applications that make it impossible for you to unlock them when the time is finally set and there are others where the time is changeable. PS. you can also find those apps on your phone.

8. Take breaks! It's important for your brain to rest for you to remember all that stuff. Try and study 25-30 min and then spare some time to eat a small snack or do something fun for 10 minutes.

9. Don't go directly to your fridge and take out the chocolate. Nope, the sugar won't help. Fast carbohydrates will make you alert on the moment, but it won't make you last longer and you will soon be tired. Try an apple, vegetable sticks or nuts instead!

10. Listening to music is fun, but you need to know when it's the right time to do so. You may find it motivating while doing mathematics and frustrating when trying to learn complex information. However, do not listen to the lyrics or text of any form, but rather try and find the instrumental version.I personally like Hans Zimmer.

I mean what a better way to end a Saturday than talking about school and homework. Am I right? Leave your best hacks and tips in the comment below! And don't hesitate to ask if you need help with something or have any questions.

(I'm thinking of making a part 2 or more school related questions so just tell me if you would like it too)

(For those of you who don't have Microsoft Office and need a free alternative, Open office works pretty much just as good! It's also possible to download dictionaries online, so if you need a dictionary that isn't included, it's easy to find it here!)
