Perhaps a strange way to relax, but sometimes I find the best way to just chill out a bit is to play a game. Something with music that will immerse your senses and drown out the world around you. These are a few games that I find take away from the world and the stress around you and allow you to focus on something beautiful and relaxing, even if it's just moments.
The first game is Auditorium.
The game is music based, all instrumental. The music is beautiful and when wearing headphones, it really lets you fall into a trance and let go of what's going on around you for a bit. The game's base is a steam of sound and you're given movement tools. You need to use the movement tools and direct the sound stream to the speaker bars, to fill them and allow the music to fill the atmosphere.

The second game is The Majesty of Colors
In this game you're situated at the bottom right of the screen as a stationary sea monster. You're below the ocean, but your tentacles reach past the surface and allow you to interact with the world above. With that power, you have choices. You shape your endings with the decisions you make throughout the game and the choices will shape the world around you. The game itself is in a pixel format and has a charm to it. It's simplistic, but amazing and a beautiful game. It gets your brain going, but it allows you to sit back and enjoy some free time.

The third game I have for you is Loved.
This game is based on obedience. You are asked questions, but are given the answers. You are given orders and are expected to follow them. Whether you decide to follow the directions or go against them, you're treated to a changing scene based on your actions and regardless of your choices, the scene still becomes something amazing to watch. The story is simple and so is the art style. So, it leaves more to your mind to question your actions. It's one of the most relaxing games I've ever played and one of my personal favorites.

And the last game I have for you is Coma.
Coma is probably my favorite games on this list. I've played it multiple times and sometimes I play it just for the music. I find it one of the most relaxing games I've ever played, mostly because of the music. The art style and colors are also very calming. It's nothing too bright and nothing that would cause your eyes any stress. The game is based on a child's dream world, where he goes through a series of odd events to wake up. It's one of the most breathtaking and beautiful games I've ever played, but in order to see it the way I do, I feel you'd need to really immerse yourself in the story.

Seven Days Of Calm.
Some of you may or many not have heard of the app, Calm. Calm is a free app available on the iTunes app store and other app stores such as the google play store.
This app is focused around relaxation and meditation.
When you open the app you're greeted by an image and a sound. You can decide what image and sound you want. You can pick from a sunset with the sound of crashing waves, trees with the sound of pouring rain, there are lots of options.
Once you're in the app itself you can then choose what you would like to do. There is a seven day of calm option that gives you a ten minutes of guided meditation, every day for seven days. You focus on different things each day, for example on the first day you focus on your breathing, the second day you also look at breathing, but you are conscious of every time you inhale and exhale. I started my seven days on Monday and I love it, it honestly works. I feel so relaxed after. I've had a lot going on with assignments for college and it has definitely helped. I also try to do it before I go to sleep and if you find that you are always waking up in the middle of the night then this will definitely help, I haven't woken up in the middle of the night once while I've been doing it.
There are also options to do other guided meditation and there are shorter sessions too. You can also pay to get accesses to more specific sessions, such as sessions that are made to help you sleep.
I am so glad that I got this app because I really do feel more relaxed. It's nice to just forget about everything that's happened in the day and just focus on that moment. I can feel a difference and I really do feel more relaxed.
You can also check out calm.com for a sample of what the app itself is like.
