I ran farther away before Anna could get to me. I wondered outside into the forest. It was dark and wet and I had no idea where I was going. I couldn’t help myself from crying. I started hitting my foot against the tree which did nothing but make my foot hurt. I just wanted to scream.

As I was calming down from my latest rampage I heard something. It was a whisper of some sort. “Come here”. It wasn’t the voice of the sweet Lilia or Anna, not even Shanamias’s voice was like that. It was scratchy and sounded mean. I knew I shouldn’t have wondered out into the forest dark at night alone. I am so stupid sometimes. I gently backed out of the forest and started running in the opposite direction of the voice. I ran back into the hotel and ran all the way up to my room. About five minutes later Anna and Lilia came up and sat down on the floor next to the bed I was lying on. Lilia was the first to speak, “Hannah is there something we can do?” I whispered back quickly, “No, I’m just scared.” I miss my family and friends. I feel like no one cares. But, in all reality the people in this garden of Appledock do really care. I just miss people back home.

After Lilia, Anna, and I talked for a while Lilia and Shanamias decided to come and have a sleepover in our room tonight so we could share stories and talk a little more about these things that are happening in our dimension. Lilia had told us about how she was at her friend’s house when she went downstairs to get something out of the refrigerator and she slipped down into a black hole and ended up on Appledock. Anna or Anastasia had taken her in like she has done for everyone else in this town. Shanamias has had a rough life too since she has gotten here. She had been in Europe on a school trip with a few of her friends. She was at the Eiffel tower when sirens had gone off with bad weather over in France. Her whole school was running down the stairs to the bottom when someone pushed her and she slipped through the stairs down a tunnel and ended up in Rosemoon where Anna had made another tunnel for Shanamias to slip through to escape Joser’s evil reign. These stories seem so complicated compared to mine. I feel like I am just passing through and everyone else is stuck here and now am I.

We all ended up talking for the rest of the night and basically got no sleep whatsoever. We decided that for the next few weeks we should become educated in anything and everything about Joser that we could scrounge up. We are all going to explore the forest tomorrow for any evidence of Joser being around. I told them about the voice I heard in the forest when I had run away from the hotel for an hour or so. We all decided it was probably Joser trying to get to me or even one of his minions spying on our garden. We’re going to that spot tomorrow to figure things out.

After we had finished talking it was about four in the morning. We crashed and got some sleep. Little did we know we would be needing all the rest we can get for tomorrow.
