Dreams: Do They Hold A Deeper Meaning? (by Private)

We all dream or have done this at one point in our life. It’s a natural phenomenon that occurs in our life and it has often been wondered if dreams hold a certain meaning or if they’re just plainly just dreams.
Some studies have been done over this matter and say that those who have been woken up during during a process of drifting off to REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, the participants experienced increased tension, anxiety, depression, weight gain, and etc. Therefore saying that dreaming is important for physical and emotional health.

Some experts may say that dreams help to solve problems in our lives and process emotions. Let’s say if you have a problem in your life and you don’t know how to approach it and you sleep on it, your subconscious will be active in trying to work out the problem. I personally have done this multiple times and I have actually woken up with a solution or just a starter of the solution.

Also, many say that dreams are a symbol in our life. Some even argue that they predict the future. Let’s say if you were to dream of death, some state that it symbolizes a phase in your life that has ended and something new is beginning. Another symbol includes flying. Flying is a popular dream occurrence that can symbolize happiness in your life. However, these dream explanations are not limited and could virtually mean anything to each person.

I've just been dreaming nightmares for the last couple of weeks and I have this dream that repeats is self several of times, not every night but i dream it at least 3 times a week, it's kinda scary .-.

Well, when you dream, it's impossible for your brain to make up these figures, so all the faces you see are probably people you've forgotten or seen before

Or things that are so terrifying, your mind cut it away from your consciousness so you wouldn't remember it O.O
