• The London School of Economics is speaking out against a covert trip to North Korea in late March, organized by the television broadcaster BBC. The students were unaware of the actual intention of the trip - to film a BBC documentary about the secretive country. This was a huge danger if North Korea had discovered the true intention and the students union say they were practically used as "human shields". (Oh boy, the North Korea news never ends!)

• Two explosions occurred at the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday, injuring hundreds and killing three spectators.(Krystle M. Campbell, 29 year old, A 23 year old Chinese Boston University graduate student, and Martin Richard, 8 year old). Suspect  Tanmerlan Tsarnaev was shot and killed during the manhunt that left one police officer dead and another seriously wounded on Friday. His younger brother and second suspect Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev was captured late Friday.
• However, let us remember that the media is not the judge, jury, or executioner. "Innocent until proven guilty" still stands.
