Today, I wanted to talk about one of my favorite artists of all time.
Marina and The Diamonds 



She is one of my favorite artists because of two factors: Music (of course) and Personality. Marina is a super fun girl, really playful and has a giant talent.


About Her

Marina Lambrini Diamandis is a Welsh singer and song writter. She was born on the
10th of October 1985. She is mostly known as Marina and The Diamonds (her
artist name.) (the "and The Diamonds" on her artist name means her fans. Marina and her fans). In 2009, she came upon getting herself in BBC's Sound of 2010, which helped
her to start her career. Born and raised in South East Wales, Marina 
moved to London at the age of 18 to study music.


Albums
1st: The Family Jewels


The Family Jewels album was Marina's first album,released on February 10, 2010 by 679 Recordinds and  Atlantis Records. During the recording, Marina has collaborated with some few producers, such as Pascal Gabriel, Liam Howe and others. She identified the lyrical themes as "The seduction of commercialism, modern social values, family and female sexuality", aswell intended to be  "enjoyed and consumed as a story and theory that encourages people to question themselves". he Family Jewels got overall positive ratings,some still divided about her vocals. Later, the album got certified Gold by the British 
Phonographic Industry,aswell selling 195,358 units in the United Kingdom. She got 138 on Billboard's #200. The album is composed of 13 singles,those being: 1° Are you satisfied? - 2° Shampain - 3° I Am Not A Robot - 4°Girls - 5° Mowgli's Road - 6° Obessesions - 7° Hollywood - 8° The Outsider - 9° Hermit The Frog - 10° Oh No! - 11° Rootless - 12° Numb - 13° Guilty. The album aswell contained some remixes.

2nd: Electra Heart

Her second album known as "Electra Heart" was released on 27th April, 2012 by 679 Artists and Atlantis Records. Marina collaborated with some producers in this one aswell,some of them being Diplo, Liam Howe, StarGate and others. Marina used the known as "New wave music" in this album, inspired mainly by electropop music. The lyrical themes of this one,according to her, are "love and identity", and has mainly given the name "Electra Heart" to  represent female stereotypes in popular American culture.  The opinions about the album were really divided mainly about the musical style and overall production.  The album got #1 in the UK Albums chart and sold 21 thousand copies in the first week sales,but aswell rated 
as the "lowest-selling number-one record of the 21st century in the country". The album was aswell certified as Gold by the British Phonographic Industry. Electra Heart aswell hit #31 in Billboard's #200.The songs on it were: 1° Bubblegum B**** - 2° Primadonna - 3° Lies - 4° Homewrecker - 5° Starring Role -  6° The State of Dreaming - 7° Power & Control - 8° Living Dead - 9° Teen Idle - 10° Valley of the Dolls - 11° Hypocrates - 12° Fear and Loathing.

3rd: Froot


Her third and last album is known as "Froot" was mainly scheduled to be released on  3rd April, 2015 by Neon Gold Records and Atlantis Records,but,due to internet leaks,it was released on 13th March, 2015. The only producer she collaborated with in this one were David Kosten. The critics commend the album's cohesive production,but aswell applauded Marina for her vocals on the album,being one of her albums with most critical sucess. With that,it appeared on several year-end lists in late 2015,aswell being on number 10 at UK Album Charts,having 10 thousand first-week sales and becaming first top-10 album on the US Billboard's #200 after charting with 46 thousand album-equivalente units. Within that, Marina aswell had tour around the world with the  accompanying Neon Nature Tour, with perfomances on North America, 
Europe and South America from October 2015 to March 2016. The songs on this album were: 1° Happy - 2° Froot - 3° I'm a Ruin - 4° Blue - 5° Forget - 6° Gold - 7° Can't pin me down - 8° Solitaire - 9° Better Than That - 10° Weeds - 11° Savages - 12° Immortal


4th: ???
Marina surprised her fans lately when she posted on Twitter and Instagram about working on studio. She's probably working on her new 
album, that does not have any information out yet.
