Welcome!

First off I want to thank you all for the feedback and comments on mine and Babooshka's blog from the bootcampers week, I appreciate it and I hope I can come up with more interesting topics to write about!<3

As this is my first official and personal blog post I thought of just doing a basic introduction to give you an idea what I'm like, my hobbies, what I do in life, etc.

Who am I?

My name is Miriam and I'm a magical short haired princess who lives in a faraway apartment among the wonders of Iceland.
I find myself a super chill human being with bad mood swings. To sum that up, I can also be overly dramatic and an emotional turtle hiding away from the world in it's shell. 
I don't have that many friends if I should be honest, but I appreciate them both for staying in my life,  for putting up with me when I asked for relationship advice then didn't listen.

I'm that girl sitting awkwardly and alone in the corner of a classroom full of people, I'm not the social type and in a group of people that consist of 2 or more, I tend to curl back in my shell and stay there until It's over, not very talkative and don't really participate in any conversation or activities.

What do I do?

I don't go to school and I don't have a job.
So what do I actually do in my free time?

After I graduated High School I went to college in the south of Iceland and was living in a single person dorm room for the first few weeks until I met my amazing friend who I then shared a room with. Me and my friend didn't last that long in that school and we both got kicked out because of lack of attendance and other personal issues we were dealing with at that time. When that happened I decided to try another school after New Year's that would be easier and more fit for me. I was there for only two semesters with breaks in between where I worked.
I worked at a local shop as a receptionist after the first semester, then went on to the second and quit there earlier to work some more at a local farmer's market. 

Last year on my birthday, 22nd of December, I officially quit my job due to personal reasons and accepted that I had problems I needed to fix, so now I'm on my way to recovery with help from the hospital in Reykjavík.

I try to attend every week to a place called "Hlutverkasetur" which is an open house in downtown RVK for people that are working on themselves or just need company throughout the day. It's a really nice place that helps folks like me to get out of the house and do something, meet new people and socialize. They also have some classes where they teach Oil painting, clay modeling,  and much more.
So that's what I'm doing! working on myself<3

What are my enthusiasms?

Nature 
Sometimes when I'm feeling like it, I give my senses a taste of the glorious buffet that welcomes me once I step out of the house, it's really refreshing to just go somewhere and be alone, with nature all around you, especially if you're planning on trying calming yourself down after a long stressful day. 
Plants also fascinate me a lot, watching them grow big, giving them love and affection they deserve.

Animals
Let me tell you, my weird enthusiasm is cleaning and caring for my animals throughout every day when I have time. Helps me relax, I also know that they are my responsibilities, they rely on me to live a good life.
I have 11 pets that include birds,hamsters,bunny,cockroaches,snails and a frog. I am planning on getting much more in the future when I'll have my own place.

Crystals
Crystals give me this energy, they help me change my battery pack to a new one. I keep at least one in every jacket I own, just to ensure that I have it with me to de-stress myself in need. I mostly buy my crystals but just recently I've started going outside to look and break stones, I actually got lucky about 2 weeks ago when I went out with my boyfriend to look for crystals, I found a half palm sized geode broken in half filled with shiny crystals.

Art Journaling
I've been hoarding empty notebooks and sketchbooks since I remember.
I have over 40 books and only use about 10-15 of them for many different occasions.
For example, most of them I use for art journaling, it helps me sort out my thoughts while being creative and expressing myself without any consequences. For my journals I mostly collect any worthy kind of trash, withered flowers to press, stickers and tattoo business cards.

Writing
Ever since I was young, I've quite enjoyed sitting by my desk with some tea, writing about nothing and everything.
That's what I want to do, write my way into the world.
I want to give a good visualization in my poetry and short stories and as mesmerized I am with nature, I often choose it for the written environment in my poetry or stories.
