 I welcome you all to the crane manor on this gloomy night. 10 people all so brave and intelligent volunteered as paranormal investigators and has been selected to unlock the mystery of the mansion and collect a reward beyond their dreams! but which of these unholy souls will get their will and which will meet their end in the haunted corridors of this mansion? only the night will tell. so if our brave investigators are ready, let us open the gates of the manor and serve the dinner!  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  ah ı see,we have everyone inside now. ı have indeed expected some of you to quit by now. oh please take off your coats,get comfortable.ı am your host for the night. call me kiri if you wish. we have a long night ahead of us. now ı will request you all to introduce yourselves. please tell us your name,occupation and anything that might be of importance.how much you like to share is completly your own call. than we shall get on with dinner as ı am afraid these is so little peacefull hours left before us. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- oh now we are having our meals,let me tell you the story of this old house. you see,my great grandfather used own this house. he was a good man. a businnes man. one of the first to stand against slavery. one of the first to stand up for the woman rights. a gentelman ahead of his time. he was in love with a lady you see. a dark skinned beauty, as smart as she was pretty he wrote in his diarys. her name was helen. but something that perfect could not stay forever. she killed herself before he could even open up his feeling for her. jumped,he wrote. from the attic. he wouldn't take this story tho. he believed she was murdered,or was a victım of some wicked plot. he was mad with grief, so he invited the 4 people he suspected of the murder of his beloved: annita leigh was the trophy wife of and old businnes man much like my grandfather. she was young,beautiful beyond belief and as cunning as a snake. she was after my grandfathers hand in marriage,not because she was in love with him,tho that may have been a factor, but because of his money. morgan mellon was another lady my grandfather had an affair with,she was the daughter of a rich businnes man, that was the all information ı could find about her. my grandfather seemed to have destroyed every record about her. alfred argento was the governor and very close friend of grandfather. but grandfather suspected that alfred has forced helen to do stuff she did not had the will to do. helen has never actually told what happened but apperantly she was very afraid of alfred. jason kubrick was the secon menager in grandfathers businnes. he had suspected my grandfathers love for helen and thought that would ruin their reputation as a businnes. he was a selfish man with no limits grandfather wrote. a man capable of murder if it ment a few more bucks. so he invited all these people to dinner, have them sitting right where you are sitting right now,and murdered them all. since than,a curse has been fallen on my family,ruining this house and the people in it. what ı ask of you is to investigate the house, find the unholy spirit thats the source of this curse and destroy it. each floor has 5 rooms to investigate that has not been touched since the murders,ı will ask all of you to pick one and go in. those who have survived shall come back to the dining room to share our findings. -the kitchen -maids chamber -common room -greenhouse -tool shed ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the kitchen:  ----------entered the kitchen. there are nothing put rusty old cooking utencils and weird spoiled food in jars. they also found a hidden jar full of candy. they took some of the candy with them because it had a weird vibe. they also found a photo of what they assumed to be helen inside an old cookbook.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ maids chambers:  --------------entered the maids chambers. they found an old photo of my grandfather and helen on the bed side. was helen the house maid? they also found a note written by helen "ı am not mad at him, ı am mad at him for hiding it from me. we could have done so much better. but than again,would ı be an acceptable candicate? ı am glad ı found out before he confessed,so that ı can see with my very eyes." ----------------------------------------------------------------- the common room:  --------------entered the common room. this unfortunetly was their mistake,as if they had known the affairs of miss mellon and my grandfather had always happened in this very room,and if they had known that miss mellon was killed right on top of the sofa they made love on,they would have never chosen this room. as they investigated the room they heard a womans cry: "No! NO! you cant let that witch have her! NO!" the room suddenly got colder and they swore they have seen miss mellon floating in the air.  the green house:  -----entered the greenhouse. there was nothing but wild plants. also the crashed roof right below the attic suggested that was where helen landed after her fall. looking closely they found candy pieces scattered all over the floor. looking up below they saw somebody move behind the broken window. ------------------------------------------------------------------ the tool shed:  ----entered the tool shed. there was a box inside with the note "bury this under the big tree near the fountain." they took a shovel and digged trough through the dirt below the tree. there was an old letter wrapped in a cloath from misses leigh: "ı know what dirty little secret you are hiding dear. can you believe a little bribe money can make even the most honest doctors talk? but than again,ı should have guessed it. if the word goes out you will lose all your reputation,and reputation means everything in your businnes. ı guess thats why mr.kubrick was so willing to help me. he is after your job after all. so deary, what will it be,will ı sell my story to the press or will you take me out on a little date? its not like ı'm asking much, a ring, some papers and you will never have to see me again. think about it,ı will be waiting your answer." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- now dear guests,as you are done with investigating the first floor,it is time for us to share out theorys with eachother. what do you think has happened to helen,who do you think was responsible for the murder,or was it a murder at all. and what was my grandfathers secret? please share all you have concluded from the evidance and we shall resume the investigation on the 2nd floor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- please choose a room to investigate,than we shall all meet again in the dining room to review our evidence. -master bedroom -bathoom -guest bedroom -office -supply room -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- master bedroom:  ------entered the master bedroom. they found a note from alfred saying "ı have done nothing to helen charles,done nothing but told her the truth! the truth ı helped you hide! she needed to know,she was getting so noisy in that little maids chamber you kept her. asking questions all around, collecting lots of eyes on her. she would have been an scandal all on her own! I needed so silence her,so ı answered her questions. she refused to believe me tho,she has such blind faith in you,that foolish girl. she tought ı was lying to make her run away. ı dont know how you will clean up this mess,but this time ı will not help you. oh god if anyone knows your affair with her we will be done for. both you and ı! ---------------------------------------------------- bathroom: -----entered the bathroom. they found old bath toys inside the cupboards. there was also an old music box that played an lullaby. other than that there was nothing to investigate. except the dried blood on the bathtub and the fact jason kubrick was killed right there. the room got colder and they heard his voice echoing trough the tiles "old fool he is. ruinning a businnes just to fuck some whore. now there is one more! that man is worse than zeus ı swear-" it was gentle mumbling and they saw mr.kubricks ghost just howering in the air,talking to himself." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- guest room:  ------entered the guest room. there was a suitcase belonging to a woman. there was also books on french,english,maths and history on the bed. pens and notebooks were neatly placed on the desk. there was a note which seemed like nonsense written in french over 10 times in a bad cursive. "Enchanté(e) de faire votre connaissance,Je m’appelle melanie. J’habite à London. ----------------------------------------------------------------- -the office:  ------- entered the office. there was a huge desk with random papers and news articles on it. some of the articles were about slave rights and woman rights,some were about finance and businness. and a couple articles about powerfull man losing everything because of their affairs. also there was a lot of old applications for a job as a private teacher. the job forced the applicant to know french,maths and history. no questions asked the form also requested. other than that there was a half finished letter to helen "my darling helen, ı have sinned against you way before we met. now ı need to come clean on a secret that ı have been keeping hidden for more than 8 years. ı should have known that bringing you here would make it impossible for me to hide it much longer. but ı am such a coward helen. ı am afraid of you, ı am afraid of the society, ı am afraid of kubrick and afraid for alfred. and most of all ı am afraid of betraying miss mellon. but ı need to tell you,ı need to tell you why you can never get into the attic. helen ı-" --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -the supply room:  -----entered the supply room. there were the usual cleaning supplies and old boxes. when investigated they found broken toys and ripped children clothing, all in a basket for assumably "in need of a fix" stuff for maids to collect and repair. and that was all. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- now dear guests,lets all come back together and share our ideas with eachother. once again ı request you tell your theorys to us all,and this time the might be the final one,so please think carefully. goodluck. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the air suddenly got colder. oh no dear guests ı think something is going wrong! the wind has scattered all the papers that we have written our research! now there is only a picture of a small girl on the table,where once our theories stood, and the writings of --------------- and ------------------------. under the writings there is a word written in blood. "attic" ı guess there is no choice for our brave investigators but to go into the attic. where it has all happened.  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------- went into the attic. it had a small bed and a lot of old toys inside. looked like a nursery or a childs room. suddenlt they heard a voice. ah hello. ı guess you expected something scary? ı am melanie. ı am begging you good madam and sir,help me find peace. ı can only save my father and everyone in this house if you bring up what has happened here to light. you each can ask 5 questions to me. because that sadly is how much energy ı have left. you need to find out what happened to helen, what happened to me and how everyone is involved. ah please help me!  the full story: charles was in love with helen. a feeling he thought himself incapable of. that is why he had alot of unapproved affairs,the most scandalous one being with morgan mellon,the daughter of the richest man in town. they had an child from the affair,melanie. since there was no way for morgan to take melanie as her own she left her with charles to either kill or gave up for adoption. the governor alfred thought the child deserved a chance at life while charles thought adoption was too risky and they should just kill her. so they both compramised and hide her in the attic for 8 years. charles told melanie there was a bad man that wanted to kill her to keep her in the aticc. annita was looking for a way to blackmail charles, so she went to kubrick for help. together they found the doctor that stayed in charles's manor for a week,with no one supposed to be sick inside. first annita thought this was sodomy,but when they got the doctor talking they learned it was something far bigger. something that could ruin charles forever. so annita wrote a letter for charles which charles buried under a tree. meanwhile charles brought helen home to stay with him,and asked her to be his "maid" to not attract any attention. he asked helen to not go into the attic but helen was curious. but she was also loyal,so instead of going to the attic she started asking about it to anyone she knew. alfred knew if she were to asked the wrong person she could get them all into trouble. so alfred told her about melanie. than he wrote a letter to charles to tell him what happened. because helen was in such a weird mood that charles has started to suspect something was up. helen first didn't believe him,she needed to see for herself. if there was such a child,she would try to mother the poor soul,growing up in a tiny attic without love! only a private teacher to teach her stuff! to believe the story she needed evidence. so she wrote a letter to miss mellon,telling her she knew about melanie and she would be a great mother to her. miss melon was furious,there was no way a black woman could raise her child. so she not so politely asked helen to get her hands off her child. helen being upset but determined, decided to wait until everyone was asleep. she got some candy from the kitchen and climbed the attic. she was very carefull to not wake anyone up or scare melanie. she got into the attic and even tho she did expect an childs room she still fund it unbelievable. just when she was about to ask for melanie,someone pushed her from the window into her death. the last face she saw was the face of an 8 year old girl... when charles found helens body he went straight up to the attic to have melanie hug her and say "ı beat the bad man daddy ı am safe now!" charles hold her daughter,which he did loved dearly and started crying. he blamed annita and kubrick for trying to bring melanie to surface and ruin him,he blamed alfred for telling helen about melanie,he blamed morgan for being such a bitch to helen and a bad mom to melanie. so he invited them all to the manor and killed them one by one,making them confess their sins as he was doing it. all the details ı will leave out because they are not for the fainted hearts. charles was admitted to an asylum and melanie escaped the house,being "free" now,and lived on the streets till she died of sickness 4 years later. and that ladies and gentelman is what actually happened at the crane manor. thank you all who participated,specially to our brave guests,who will all rechieve small gifts for their courage. ı hope to see you all at another night with another story. goodnight...  |
