Tarot pt 2 |
Today marks the start of my deck bonding. I will be going through this process with each deck that I have. I am doing this because it has been a while since I have taken the time to bond with them. Binding with a Tarot deck helps you to form a connection with the cards that will help while you read them. Thy are more open and you are able to understand them better. The process that I have come up with is a multi-step one. Cleansing: I am placing a piece of Clear Quarts on top of the deck for 24 hrs to help draw out any negative energies that may be lingering from the readings that I have done. Ordering: I will be taken every card and placing them in order. This is another type of cleansing as well. Meditation with the deck: Not only will this help to cleanse the deck further, but it will also be a way for me to put my energy into the deck. Card analysis: Suit analysis: Are the suits named uncommonly? What images do they all share? Court Cards: Are the court cards named differently? How does this make me feel in relation to the deck? Journal Page: Each card for each deck will get its own page in my Tarot journal where I list my insights to each card, my impressions, feelings and my interpretation. Charging: This is a method where I put energy into the cards so that they are energized for readings. Deck Interview: I will be doing a spread that will help me to understand the deck better and what I can learn from it. While I am working with each deck I will not be doing any readings for anyone with it. This process is going to be a long undertaking as I have a number of decks. I feel that in doing this I will be able to get better readings from each deck. The first deck I am doing this with is The Wooden Tarot. I will chronology some of this process with everyone. |
