The movie is absolutely fantastic. That's why I wanted to read the book, thinking it would be even better than the movie. I was disappointed by a book. For the first time ever, the movie as waaaay better than a book I've read omfg XD

Yeah, I love the movie. I feel that the movie actually stuck to the book better than other book to movie conversions. Maybe the reason you, and maybe other people, hate the book is because it's very descriptive, and sometimes too much detail can get boring to the reader. Is that the reason?

On the contrary, I find the book too rushed. Not descriptive enough. No character development. Just think about it, usually they make movies out of a book with 400 pages. and it's one movie per book. With The Hobbit they're making 4 movies out of.... 150 pages or 200 pages...
Imo the book is way too rushed. If it would've been descriptive, with a continuous action and with solid character development I would've LOVED the book, but it's the exact opposite XD

Oh ok, lol. I get what you're saying.

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton

i'm about to read this in school!
is it good? i have to do a project about it.

It's my favorite book! My brother actually got the book from his school years back. I also had to read it for school once, and I had already read the book many times. It's a good book. It's basically about these 2 teenage boys who are greasers. They accidentally murder a soc, a rich boy, out of self-defense. They go on the run. There's actually way, way, way more to it than that, but I don't want to give the story away, lol. And, you may get emotional on some parts, I know I did the first few times I read it.

I'm actually inspired to start reading "The Lost Hero" now because that's the only book from that series that I have. xD

It's really cool how you read a lot tho, I don't at all. <img src='/layout/nl/images/smileys/confused.gif' alt='<img src='/layout/nl/images/smileys/confused.gif' alt='<img src='/layout/nl/images/smileys/confused.png' alt=':s'>'>'>

Haha. Maybe you haven't heard of most because I read all kinds of books, so the list kinda stretches from genre to genre. They're all different, and some of them aren't as famous or popular as others.
