Poem: Snowflakes |
Snowflakes falling down outside the window
Snow turning, twirling and changing to slow, steady rain
The droplets moving down the window in a steady flow.
Eyes locked at them, making him insane.Crazy eyes opening, in the bushes outside in the nightWhat could be out there, in this weird weather.Snowflakes, darkness and rain is blocking your eyesight.Your brain escaping in the howling wind, like a feather.Heart beating out of your chest, why did you go out?A sudden light appear, lightning shooting down from the sky.The growls of the wind and the thunder, so loud.Flinching, when someone walk by.Why didn't you stay at home in the warmth and comfort of your bed. It's too late to regret, your clothes are already too wet.
Steps getting almost shy, as your eyes moves around the street.Teeth clattering like a step dance, hoping that nobody you will harm.Fingers pressing into your body, wondering when you two will meet. The window getting foggy, as his breath hit the glass. He wonder if you will be okay caught in the storm. You squint your eyes as you walk past a club, hearing the bass. The wind tugging and pushing your small form.A house in your sight of view, hope filling your watery eyes. The light guiding your way as you finally arrive at the door.A knock on a door, fingers cold, your body heavy, mostly your thighs.Door opening a warmth holding you close, just when you're about to collapse on the floor.Warmth spreading through your body as he take you inside.Shaking violent, eyes closed tight, feeling like you just died. |
