| Long Distance |
| { Okay, this might be a bit upsetting or may bring down the mood, so just be aware. } Long distance is one of the most challenging obstacles I know of. You can be so long to a single person so intimately, but the only thing keeping the two apart from each other is distance. It's such a shame to know that two people can't have easy access to one another. I feel that there is a different level of connection when it comes to distanced relationships. When you think about them, there's a sense of longing. You have friends by your side in person, but I feel that there is still a difference. The people you see every day are used to you. There's a cliché established since everyone is so used to seeing one another, so no one really thinks about what would happen if one moved away. Those we meet that are already three hundred to three thousand miles away from us do not have that luxury. We feel more honest and possibly more open with those we can't see everyday. Of course, the internet has helped us achieve so many different ways of communication to keep these distanced ties tied tight. Distance is such a horrible pain. We want to be with each other through thick and thin and to be able to physically comfort one another. It's just such a shame that we have to be separated so much. |
