we dont sell the games, unfortunately :c but we sell a lot of trading cards, and im also interested in them. so i often talk to kids about pokemon, and i wear my (personal) pokemon pins on my work t-shirt, and kids often ask me if i like pokemon, and i express that i do. and then we talk about it. i even made a kid friend on pokemon go cus of it. we talked for like 20 minutes. and theres a kid that often comes in and talks to me, and last time he asked if someone had bought the Charizard tin-box i hid away in the back last time he was there. its incase someone specially interested came in (since charizard is the first to go, haha).

i really love working in a toystore, and being a part of childrens lives. im sort of a "secret part" of their lives. i've jokingly said that we're "santas elves" during christmas time, cus we literally deliver the toys santa makes to the children. but i honestly think were an important part of that area. they want something, but cant get it unless im there. ofc u need a parent to pay for it, or ur own money (still given to u by parents or other grown up's). but i have to be there to order them in, to stock the store and to ring them up in the register so they can actually get the item.

idk this was sort of a rant. sorry not sorry
i just love my job.

i just think its funny. i dont care what u spend ur money on, as long as u spend it here ;) no, jokes aside, i think its just weird that some people explain themselves to the store people. i dont think anything of it. ofc i wouldnt spend that much as a prize for going to the hairdresser, but they might be wealthy, she might be like IMPOSSIBLE to get to go, so that is a deal they have. maybe they dont get many things besides stuff like that. i dont judge. its just funny.

we just replied that we're sorry she feels this way, but we cannot remove it from the shelf, as many people dont know about it, and it might make it so people think we dont have it. so we had to have it out. 
she then continues with this whole "you're KILLING christmas spirit" accusations and says that she now will boicot our store.

we told her we could get a new one, which we did, but she needed it before the 12th (today), and we got it today. that was apparently "not good enough" (not like we can decide when an item gets shipped. we had told the deliverers we needed it ASAP). but like, she gets so mad. says its really bad service, to me, as if its my fault? apparently she also had called and was told some bullshit stuff on the phone (i think its the collegue mentioned above). 

but like, if i got something held off, and someone sold it, i would of course be a little angry, but i understand its a human who is behind the counter. humans make mistakes. and we apologized, and she even got the black friday offer (20% off), but she demanded 25% cus of the bad service after. i didnt wanna argue, so she got it.

but why is it always the pissed, angry midlife crisis women we make mistakes on? the ones that yell our ears full and act as if we dont care??? it was one mistake. she wasnt even in the rights to have it held off that day.
