If you applied for disability you usually get denied the first time you apply, afaik. It sucks. I've heard hiring a lawyer to write your appeal letter is a good idea. This country is no doubt a shit hole, I'm sorry it's been so difficult for you.
i didnt mean 2 skip but where did u hear abt that? it's stupid for me to think about in the situation im in considering lawyers make u cough up every penny but im at a desperation level to whereas i don't feel safe anymore in the current household i'm in. i'm tired of my mom opening my mail, it's federal, i want to sue but im fucking broke.

It's what I've read from people who have tried to get on disability. They always deny first time appliers. I don't know why. Some lawyers do offer free consultations so maybe that could be of some use to you. They probably won't be able to help you with any actual letter writing without you having to pay though. If anything, there are tons of threads on Reddit that might be helpful. There's a sub specifically for social security. That's frustrating. :/ I think PO boxes are relatively cheap, you could have your mail sent to one and wouldn't have to worry about anyone opening it.

i remember someone telling me that same thing word for word (almost) and ur absolutely right about that but then there's ghost jobs that these employers put up just for the company to gain some sort of something out of it??

and i'd do what you've recommended but how did you do it? usually employers would immediately turn down any application that doesn't match their criteria within the hiring process so receiving a call for not having any qualifications for it is extremely lucky.. tell me ur secrets? lolol
I called the place to ask if they were actually hiring, or would go in person and ask for the hiring manager and leave a resume

Some places if you call will give you the hiring manager's email, and you can write a "cover letter" type email and attach your resume
i've been provided cover letter options but don't know how to create one let alone know what it means, i'm still unknowledgeable about all these things and it makes me feel embarrassed.

related topic question but do u use any job seeking apps?
I don't use any. I use FB (and have enlisted aunts and cousins) to send me posts of people hiring locally. It cut out a LOT of the "just for looks" job listing's

A cover letter is basically two or three paragraphs about why you want the job and why you think you'd be a good fit. That's all it is. It should have a little from your resume but mostly just things you would want to say in an interview

i've been denied for an unknown reason when i've applied; reason in which was my income.

i've earned less than 10k per month POSSIBLY 5k which is borderline depressing.

i'm only saying it's unknown because it's hypocritical for a center like that to deny an unfortunate being from benefits. unless i've done something wrong but highly doubt because i don't earn anything worth living except for food and soap.

it's weird but i will try again nonetheless, i've went 4 years working at an abusive establishment earning extremely less than any average american around my age would make, atp im looking at poverty and homelessness. i can't wait to decorate my own box of a house!

average american through the ages of 20-25 make around an estimated 38k. i could be wrong with my information, however i've seen that age group with cars and their own apartment to my knowledge.
Hmm that is odd. Unemployed is unemployed...

When it comes to yearly income my country doesn't pay that much for a start-up. I think when I started (granted I only worked and still work 32 hours because of health issues) I earned around 25k at 25. Then again I was working at a place that was below my degree but hey you've got to start somewhere. And it depends where you work I suppose. I guess a psychologist earns at the age of 25 way more than a junior curator at a museum.

But it is so absurd they denied you a job which doesn't require a degree? Or is it because of the age? The older you are the more expensive you are for a company. 19 or 20 can sometimes already be the dealbreaker..
mistake here, i'm still employed but i don't make at least 20+ hrs.

however there's other benefits such as for individuals who don't have a stable job, have moderate to severe health conditions that makes them incapable or of any children in the household. (i.e SNAP, WIC stamps)

i've applied for florida's food and medicare benefits, u alrdy know the answer to that rofl..

whereas to the denial of my application, the store is a large hardware store, alike to home depot.
the highest position that DOES require responsibilities (to my knowledge) would be a certified forklift user or any experience with heavy machinery.

vs..

a cashier role at the store front.

the same role that i'm currently in but i only earn about $12.00. only difference with that role i've applied to is just $3-4 dollars extra.

so to my perspective, i dont think there shouldn't be reasons unless background checks are provided.

what do i oppose in my resume? i have no other experience but my first job that i'm still stuck in 4 yrs later.

unknowingly, i used to earn 12.50 but reduced .50 cents back? it doesn't matter but it still fucks with my work that i'm putting into for a store that lets homeless people attack their cashiers. (me.)
Ah I see. Still, there must be something to help you out ):

wth?? Why is your salary reduced? 12.50 to 12 dollars? Shouldn't your salary grow per year? They are just weird for denying you everything, including this job. The extra 3 dollars would have been nice for your income

Also if you are ensure about your cover letter just let someone cross-check it for you. A friend, family member etc.

it has been, i've went from 9.50 to 12.50 to later realizations.. $12..

there's so many questions that yet still have been unresolved, i work in a supermarket filled with unresponsible individuals, immature too. long story short, i've already spoken to each and one of the managers and it's already impossible to have at least one of them help me out in a situation.

i've changed my availability to work not too long ago and my manager secretly tried to hide me away from scheduling me on those two days, i haven't worked for 2-3 weeks because of him. his reason was "well you need to tell me what day i can put you on."

requests automatically show what days you've selected on screen so this was a lie obviously, just shows how much of a piece of shit my manager is. he doesn't know how to work on his own position and it really hurts my performance when asking him for some help.

it's not the point of the topic but my job is a dead-end job and my mom pressures me into working in this place till this day over pay rises per year. i keep my age confidential on this website so i can assure u that i'm at the age to be in my own apartment with my own paid belongings. it's just only sad that this economy is putting individuals in the same position as me get caught up to our throats.

i can guarantee anyone can get a job, it's just there's people who likes to play games.

in reference (by experience) to the sentence for the 2nd time cs my laptop won't stop fucking around.

i HAD a job if it weren't for the hiring manager to scam me. she made me wait a whole month, especially me having to buy uniform as instructed by her only on the same day of "training" as she instructed me AAAND immediately turn me down.

her reason?

"for some reason HR is having issues with your hiring process and you've only applied for a seasonal job but the season is technically over.. so i can give you a call back sometime in september to get you back on the list"

...

she's a liar and what hiring manager will randomly ONE DAY, one BLUE MOON to send u a call or text to hire u once whatever bullshit is going to start?

i hate being reminded of that situation, it's fucking detrimental filling my head up with hopes in having a new job just to LIVE.

i use it 100% of my time, i've only gotten 5 interviews so far from it. only issue is that there's so many ghost jobs filling up the app making it difficult to search for a job.

Disability or any money (including fafsa) is near impossible to get. Although, August-now should have been the prime time to get a customer service job since everyone’s desperate for workers during the holidays. I’d just keep trying indeed and sign up to places to get alerts when they have more openings. You might just have to go back to school (which ik more debt) to get anything worthwhile.

luckily i'm eligible for fafsa for my education but it's weird that any other benefit is an immediate no.

i've been scoping on indeed not too long ago (during my homework time shame on me) and sent in a couple of applications for customer service so i'm praying for any form of reply to do an interview. ^_^

i still may reconsider on my resume, i may have errors in it so i'm probably going to review it and try again on a word doc sometime extremely soon.
