Yeah, but no I don't think so unless we see something that shatters civilisation as we know it. Those religions were abandoned because the places where people believed in them were occupied or that the people died out, and another religion emerging. As of now, Islam and Christianity in particular has such a solid grasp of some countries that it's unlikely something else will take that place and shove it out in the cold, abandoned.
yeah that's true, but for a certain period of time, roman culture was the biggest thing in the world so it's not unlikely that such a giant shift could happen in the future
Christianity in its current form is arguably romanic tho
oh yeah forgot about the whole first christians were persecuted and then christianity became the main religion thing. but still, it's possible

Actually not everyone in Ancient Greece believed in the gods, it's just that most did so the people that didn't were a minority. Also religion in Ancient Greece varied from place to place, they believed in the same gods (for the most part), but had different myths and legends about them. Also there are still people who believe in those gods, and most of them aren't even Greek lol!!

it does scare me that i will just be gone after i die

like i wont even care that im dead cause i wont be there anymore

but this quote soothes me:

“I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.”

Something that I think isn't being taught in schools outside Greece (correct me if I'm wrong) is that Greece actually became a country much later in history, way after ancient times. Back then it was just a giant collection of cities and islands that were in the same area, they didn't consider themselves a united country. That's why wars between them aren't considered civil wars, they were just wars, mostly between Sparta and Athens!! They all had extremely different societies and ways of life, and critisized each other on them.
