i have tulip hooks and honestly i love them. they feel so smooth to use and makes you faster cus they dont resist against the yarn. i have heard good things about clover hooks too though. i would say getting quality hooks really is worth it

So I am making crochet pot holder, probably having my partner tests out the heat protection and durability of the stitch, it's made with cotton, which should be the best i think.
