So mom and I went to guldfynd last week to try the necklace i want before i went there w auntie bc i didnt want to be unsure when she bought it. And we said to person working like, "we wanna try it in secret before it becomes a present from someone else"
We didnt say secret but that was implied.

So today. We walk in. Ready to try it again. Auntie shows pic of the necklace. AND THE MOTHER FUCKER WORKING THERE FLAT OUT SAID "oh yeah thats the one you came in to try before"

YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT OMFG YOU ABSOLUTE IDIOT! I wanted to fucking cry . It got so awkward (only for me) and anxiety through the roof. And this nice outing w auntie looking for the perfect present together almost got completely ruined. We walked out within 5min.

Nah i'll never forgive that bitch.

It sounds like something common
so the salesperson didn't think they were doing anything wrong
probably assumed you really like the item

Really? To me it sounds really stupid to out that someone has been in the store before when having the conversation of being 'sneaky'?

And like you wouldnt say "hi you were here looking at rings last week" which could ruin a proposal.

Same thing in my brain

Maybe I'm too direct because I would say
don't mention I was here
so people don't get it wrong
Your aunt sounds sweet
