it went out before the fire alarm or sprinklers went off but it melted some scraps of leather and it smelled really bad for the rest of the day haha. also it was just uhhh a litte more exciting than i hoped for!

today i finished day 3 and started to actually make something the customer will use instead of just the instructor letting me do test/practice jobs. its really easy "sew on velcro to the inner lining" job but it feels cool to know someone will own the thing i sewed velcro to  even tho it will be inside the piece and they will propably never really see it haha

haha id rather not try to hide my initial or anything. aan L would be quite easy to hide tho!

and its just one month for now but its possible to extend it afterwards. it was only my third day but rn i wanna extend to at least 2 months.
the place am at has like machines my usual apprenticeship place doesnt have and does things we dont do  (like the leather) and i wanna learn all the things i cant do at my usual workplace :) i gotta make the most of this opportunity

i havent graduated to leather yet (nor will i soon i think) but yeah its hard to work with. any holes in leather are in there forever so you cant really undo and try again without it being visible. also its kinda not that bendy (compared to many woven fabrics) which is why that leather scraper thing to make the edges thinner, sfter and more pliable exists 

i have only worked with pleather (way less expensive to waste on an apprentice) but thats similiar in some aspects

That sounds stressful and idk if I would ever move on from pleather 
Do you sew for yourself and make clothes as well?
