I don't have to work anymore

for the rest of my life.
I saw a doctor today and she wrote a doctor's certificate for 3 more years of aktivitetsersättning (money you get if you can't work) and after that we're going to apply for sjukersättning and that is if you can't work for the rest of your life.

It was a bit depressing tho because she didn't think I was going to get any better with my disorder. If anything you usually get worse as time passes.

I've had so much anxiety over this because I wasn't sure what the doctor would think but it's over now and I can finally relax.

I’m glad you got it so you do t have to stress about it! I get the depressing part though but getting that anxiety behind you gotta be so nice!

Yes! She was so nice and understanding and wrote a good certificate. I'm sure I will get it when I apply for it when the aktivitetsersättning I have now ends in November.

Correction, terrifying for me lol

not working would be fun the first week or so
but I would start to feel isolated because i would have all this free time
while my friends are working and I would grow bored just playing games or watching tv
Most terrifying of all? Knowing I would have to actually budget and can’t do things on a whim
Perhaps some of this is tied to residing in the us where the govt doesn’t give af about cutting people off
combine all this with being told that it’s likely things will get worse??
you’re a strong one because I wouldn’t be able to deal

I work at a dog day care 4 days of the week but it's not a real job it's just a place I go to so I can have something to do in the days. Idk what it's called in english. Most of the time are free time where you can just sit and pet the dogs and then we walk for an hour in the morning. So it's not like I sit at home every day with nothing to do but it's also not like I work at a real job if you know what I mean.
I have had a lot of time to make peace with the reality of my disorder and how it is and how it will be. It's a lot but it is what it is.
