FT: Thrifting

Hello friends!

Me and @Aria  really want to chat with you
about our favorite hobby and the number one source of sustainable fashion:
thrifting!

Do you enjoy thrifting? Got any tips to share?
How often do you go?

Thrift store prices seem to go up and up,
so what is the most you have paid for an item there? What is the limit?

show or tell us you favorite finds and let’s discuss!

I started going to real thrift stores after I moved to Latvia, the most expensive item that I have bought are probably my dr. Martens(19 euros)
I miss going to thrift stores because we are currently under a lockdown and even tho I don’t need anything I still enjoy going

i like thrifting yes, i go maybe once a month? on average, sometimes more because i pretty much only go when im looking for something specific or when i happen to be in a city with nice thrift-charityshop-store-places
my number one tip to be honest is to go to places that arent as "trendy" and frequented by young people who quickly buy all the nice stuff, personally ive found very nice clothing in places that are located outside of the city and pretty much only frequented by old people haha
but also my sense of fashion is oversize stuff that make me look like a middle aged man - and also clothing that is literally made for 12 year old boys so idk how much others would benefit from my advice

also these places (charity shops not located in big cities) tend to have cheap clothing, the most ive paid is 60kr for a sweater and it was good as new and would probably cost several hundred from a regular shop

I love thrifting! My whole closet is thrifted. : D I use to go thrifting at least once a week
Idk my biggest tip is probably staying open-minded about clothing and looking everywhere.
Biggest gem i've found at a thrift store is a 1997 Tom Ford dress

Some of them look pretty rough but they were 3 for 1€ so I still bought them

I have a tip, if you find an item that you’re not sure if you want to get or not, ask yourself”am I going to wear it more then 15 times?” If the answer is no, put it back😉
