Actually you can interpret the don't cheat rule like that. Battles are hardly fair if the other person let someone win. 
It's in the rules that were re-written long ago by 2 visiting mods, yet never enforced.

There's a different answer from everyone 
Yet, it's stupid to enforce because 
You're still doing the work unless there's a magical trick that one can do to avoid
