my sims 4 game wont work

I tried to remove all the new custom content but it still won't open, I removed all of my cc into a separate folder and the game worked. How do I check for broken CC or stuff that's not compatible with the latest patch? Google is only suggesting things like Sims 4 Tray Importer but that only works if the game opens. SOS
