Colton walked out onto the dance floor to have the ceremonial first dance as husband and wife. He had to admit, Daniella was a beautiful woman, but if it weren't forced, he wasn't so sure he would have married someone like her. Sure, she was the picture perfect princess, always obeying her parents and never doing anything wrong. Maybe that's what he didn't like about her, she hadn't seen any adventure. Or maybe it was because he had grown up, being groomed to hate the country by everyone but his parents. They had always said good things about the country, maybe it was because he would go into this marriage with an open mind, but no such luck.

All he wanted to do was go home, get on his bed, and sleep, but that was happening anytime soon.

Daniella walked calmly onto the dance floor, well as calmly as she could. She was a tiny bit uneasy about this marriage thing. Usually when she thought about it, she brushed it off and acted confident, like she was told to. She never thought anything of the anxiousness, as she thought it normal for women in her situation, but now that she was married, all of these thoughts came pouring into her head 'What if he doesn't like me?', was one of the most frequent of them. She put a smile on her face and continued walking to the middle of the dance floor, where Colton was waiting.

Caleb smiled ass he accepted the wedding congratulations from the two families. He hugged Charlotte's parents and his own, making seem he was happy. But in ways, he wasn't. He could tell Charlotte wasn't to fond of this whole 'peace bringing marriage' thing. He couldn't blame her, when he was first introduced to the idea, he was furious. However, he came to realize it was for the best as he grew older. He hoped Charlotte could come to like him, since he wasn't sure if she liked him. He sure liked her. She was pretty, and he assumed she would come to be nicer as he got to know her. He hoped that wasn't just an assumption and was true.

Colton smiled at Daniella and took her in his arms as the music started. "So, how do you feel about this whole thing?" He figured he should start getting to know his wife, and why not start while they're having their first dance as husband and wife. He laughed in his head. He never figure that this was how he would meet the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. A betrothal when he was four and she was a newborn. Then again, being of noble blood he could always expect the unexpected. He could tell that, like himself, she was uneasy about marrying the price of her rival country, he just hoped she understood that it was only to bring peace and stop the fighting. Yes it would be hard to get used to, and that they more than likely would never actually come to love one another fully, but it was something they had to do. He also knew that eventually they would have to produce and heir.

Once they were finally allowed to leave, he took Analisses' hand in his, then walked forward and out the door, hoping she didn't mind too much. He wasn't sure about the whole marriage thing. He wasn't sure about anything, really. But, he'd noticed Analisse was a nice girl, and he didn't wanna ruin things for their 'future'. "It's alright, don't worry about it. We can still get to know each other, y'know? This doesn't have to be a bad thing."

Colton nodded and kissed her forehead softly. "Whether we fall in love with each other or not, I vow to be as good of a husband as I can be." He said, despite their iffyness towards the whole marriage thing, he knew it was better to be a mature adult about the whole thing rather than act like a child. He was 23 years old for goodness sakes. He should act maturely about the whole thing, especially if he's to he king at some point. Whether they loved each other or not he wanted to make sure she was happy.
