Chapter three - Learning archery.

"No, you're holding it wrong, Alice." Hatter told Alice for what seemed like the fiftieth time in an hour. Alice really hadn't gotten to grips with the bow and arrow.
"I'm just useless." Alice sighed, hanging her head in despair. Hatter forced her chin up to that her head was high, then he took his black top hat off of his head and put it on Alice.
"Now," he said, scratching his slightly stubbled chin. "How do I explain this?" he asked himself.
"Explain what?" Alice asked Hatter.
"You're a wonderful girl, Alice, a strong willed girl as well, that's why we got Peter to find you." he explained. "You can't give up after firing a few arrows and missing the target." he said, smiling a bit. Alice nodded her head slowly.
"Alright, I'll try." she said, fumbling around for a bit before managing to get the bow straight. She fed the arrow through it and pulled the string back, firing. The arrow whizzed through the air before hitting the target attached to the tree right in the middle. Alice soon realised what she had done and grinned.
"YES!" she said, punching the air in a very cheesy way.
"I knew you could do it." Hatter smiled at her. Cheshire floated away down to the target and pulled at the arrow, getting it out of the target after a few pulls.
"Just a few more practices with the bow and arrow and I think I can teach you basic knife throwing." Hatter said, snatching his hat off Alice's hat and putting it back on his own.

It turned out that Alice was a master with a bow and arrow, ever since that little chat with The Hatter she immediately got a lot better, her spirit was lifted dramatically.
She still wasn't sure if it was real or not, but she was having so much fun that she didn't care if it was all in her head.
Alice glanced down at Peter the little rabbit by her feet, she chucked a knife at the target, narrowly missing a bulls-eye.
"What's wrong Alice?" he asked her, watching her throw the others.
"There are five of us, Hatter and I are probably the only two who are any use, no offence, it's just you and everyone else are just... small..." she said, throwing another knife. "So, how will we fight?" she asked the small creature.
"We're not going to fight, you are." he said, Alice was about to throw another before stopping and turning to face him. "What?" she asked.
"Y-you see, Miss Alice, the Queen has a son."
"A son?" I repeated.
"A son, yes. He's about your age, maybe a little bit older. Anyway, his birthday in in a few days and the Queen wants him to get married, every young unmarried woman in Wonderland has been invited, so you need to try and kill the Queen, it's the only way." he told me.
"HAVEN'T YOU THOUGHT THIS THROUGH? THAT'S THE WORST PLAN I'VE EVER HEARD."
"It's the only way, Alice." he said, I got back to throwing knives with extra force at the target, everyone made sure to avoid me.
"We'd best not give her a gun yet." Cheshire whispered to Peter and the Hatter who all nodded in agreement.
"I heard you, you know!" I said.
"Oh..." they all sighed.
How great, I was being used to go to some marriage ball to meet the prince of Wonderland and kill his mother. Lovely.
