Chapter seven - Fluffy weirdness.
____
Alice woke up in Hatter's arms, it was quite late, it must have been about twelve or one o'clock in the afternoon.
Hatter eventually awoke from Alice's movements. He yawned a little bit, looking down at the petite now seventeen year old in his arms.
Alice had forgotten all about her birthday, no one celebrated it in the asylum though, obviously. They didn't celebrate anything, one day was the same as the last there, yet Alice still tried to remember her birthday.
"What's the date, Hatter?" Alice asked, Hatter thought that this was a strange question to ask, but didn't question her.
"The fifth of July I think, why?" he asked the grinning girl.
"I'm seventeen now!" she laughed a bit.
"It's your birthday?" Hatter asked her, she nodded. He was relieved to see her looking so happy.
"Well then, we need to celebrate, don't we?" he smiled.
"How?" she asked him.
"Follow me." he said, jumping up and running through the forest, Alice let out a loud laugh as she followed him, trying to keep up with him, but of course, he was a lot stronger than her and had much longer legs, so it was difficult. But she found him and jumped on his back, tackling him to the ground.
They both laughed a bit, rolling back onto the grassy bank that they were sitting on.
Hatter looked at Alice.
Alice looked back at Hatter.
"Seventeen." Hatter said, smiling at her.
"Seventeen." Alice repeated. Still grinning. She got up and sat on Hatter's chest, smirking a little.
Hatter gasped as she sat on him, trying to breathe. He could breathe seeing as Alice was so light, but he just pretended so that Alice would laugh.
He grabbed hold of her waist and tickled her stomach, grinning. Alice now gasped.
"Ticklish?" he raised an eyebrow. Alice shook her head.
"N-no..." she said quietly. He grinned even more as he started tickling her more. Alice laughed, falling back onto the grass.
"No!- please,-stop!" she said as she laughed.
"Not until you say..." hatter placed a finger to his chin. "Hatter is the bestest Hatter in Wonderland, he is also the most attractive." Hatter said eventually.
"Never!"
"Well then..." Hatter said and he started tickling her again.
"Fine!" she said eventually. Hatter stopped, but then Alice shoved him back and started tickling him.
"Stoppppp." he pouted.
"Not until you admit that Alice is the bestest person ever with the nicest hair."
"Never!"
"Well then... Something must be done to control you." she said, thinking for a bit before pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. They stopped.
Hatter stared at Alice.
Alice stared at Hatter.
"Urm..." Alice said slowly. "Sorry." she said.
"No, it's okay. I mean, I urm..." Hatter sat up, so did Alice.
"Let's just forget that?" she asked. He nodded.
"Yeah, it sounds like a plan." he said, standing up, she stood up as well.
"I'd better go and practice..."
"Yeah, I'll help you." he said.
They walked back to the tea party table and then Alice started firing arrows again.
"Oh, um Lucas gave me a gun to use..." she said, taking it out of her boot and putting it on the ground next to her.
"That was nice of him." Hatter said, he was making a new hat, Alice hadn't paid much attention to it.
"Yeah-" she fired an arrow again. "It was." she said.
Hatter hadn't really taught her anything much with swords, just how she could protect herself, she wasn't as good with swords as she was with archery and knives.
She wasn't sure how she would smuggle a bow and arrow into the castle, but she guessed that Hatter had a plan for that.
Alice picked up a knife and sat on the grassy floor, digging out big chunks with the knife.
"I'm sorry about earlier, Hatter, I wasn't sure why I did that..." she said.
"It's fine." he replied, she nodded.
"Good..."
"Yeah..."
