i odnt think site activity is effected by paid staff.

we literally have a site we can compare VP to right now thats wildly active without paying anyone. clearly paying people is not a requirement for a more active site. 
Idk I think if u spend money on the site he might’ve actually gotten more newbies to stay, like money for more high quality sets, layouts, and so on n idk fixing a few things he might’ve gotten more success?? Idk tho volunteer work can go a long way too, however that site is more updated n fresh too idk
