if I understand this right, this will just end in no sets being used at all, for either gender
there still are a bunch of designers who won't design for male, no matter what and I doubt this "rule" would change their mind
because let's face it, there's always a way to get your set in game, if you want to

because the amount of male designs too female designs don't add up, so if they had to match what we get, female items would just start pilling up

A little add on.

And I know it sucks, however in comps and a lot of times males do actually get a reward for participating if there isn't a set available, which isn't possible during these little codes that we sometimes get in shouts or as a small surprise.
It's all about what they actually have and haven't. If they start to give out male sets to compensate there wouldn't be enough for larger comps = resulting in males rarely getting anything.
