NT Monthly Magazine: January (by Private)

Hi everyone!

Each month I'm going to try my best to partner up with NT to bring you news of any updates that have either happened or are going to happen! This month I'm mostly going to cover what has currently happened and give a little sneak peek of what is to happen.

At the start of 2019, the moderation and administration teams of VP across the servers issued an update on the rules. For our server it closed up some loose ends on particular rules and just reinforced some that were already in place. As the EN server overall is rather lax, the new rules came to benefit more of the other servers than ourselves.

Alongside the new rules, we've also been looking into changing how the male HOF works. This started as an idea by the EN designer team to try to aid in getting more of the sets IG for male users. At the moment there are still discussions on what will happen going forward. In exchange we'll be trying to do more male shop updates. Alongside this, the EN server is teaming up with the German DT to make one larger team. This is to help them out with their workload during our server rotas for covering designs.

Lastly, let's talk about future updates! As mentioned by Kaj in Decembers MCW forum, we are looking to discuss new updates for the site as a whole going forward. Little information is known at this point, but once I know the full details I'll be able to let people know.

The BloggerTeam started the year by hosting applications, however, they were very secret with the amount of new members they are looking for. They were looking for both layouters and writers this time and the deadline for the applications ended the 25th of January! Six writers and six layouters made into the bootcamp and we in NT sure are looking forward to see your blogs!

There hasn't been much activity and new comps from SMT so far this month. Sources say it’s because they are restructuring a bit, so it’s gonna be exciting to see what they change!

It seems they have gotten a new member? What’s up with that? Well, the team designer decided to leave, so the team was without a coder. After an application process amongst those of the badged designers that were interested, Ad0xa has been badged as the new team coder! Please give her a warm welcome to the team!

The month started with ET’s Sweet Style, where the goal was to dress up as your favourite candy to win some pretty sweet prizes! The winners were announced here. Congrats to all!

Another ET comp this month had everyone dress up as sea creatures for a chance to win a beautiful octopus set made by ad0xa. The ideas were endless, from mermaids to deepsea killer fish and everything in between. The winners have been announced in this thread.

In the very beginning of the month, SMT announced the winners of December’s raffle. However, it took a long while before the female accounts got the prizes. This was due to an expired code and the recoding process taking longer than anticipated. However, all winners have received their prizes now!

The winners of the Christmas WWIB were announced on Tumblr earlier this month. They really proved that Christmas jackets can make some pretty cool looks and won some gorgeous hairs made by Jen.

If you spot surprisingly many people looking like Disney Villains it is because of ET’s newest comp. By dressing up as a villain, you have the chance to win the second of ad0xa’s octumaid sets so you can look exactly like Ursula from The Little Mermaid (the first of the sets was the prize for the Creatures from the Sea competition). Good luck to all participants!

New manager set On Monday January 21st the manager sets, for both male and female, were updated with some new beautiful all white sets made by our very own Ad0xa.

Due to the extra mega credit week in December there was no sale in January, but the next mcw will take place from February 4th.

On January 5th the auction took place, but unfortunately, there were no male sets this time. For the female auction, we had a gorgeous set made as a collaboration between Songbird and Eifos auctioned away for pd, and a collection of different superheroes made by Solovey.

Have you always wanted to design for VP but never really gotten around to doing it? Need some motivation to get you started? Then you’re in luck!

Starting this month, you will be able to receive items from a certain set for every design you submit to DT. The set available will change every three months, so make sure to get your designs in on time to receive the full set. For more information, check out this thread.

We in NewsTeam thought it could be pretty fun to have a page in the magazine filled with fun and creative things. This is where you come into the picture!

If you have any jokes, memes, art, small stories, people you want to give a shoutout to and so on (though preferably something that is in some way related to VP) that you want featured on this page in the magazine, then send a message with it to the NewsTeam account! The only limit is your imagination.

We are looking forward to seeing all your amazing stuff!
