bad shows with great potential

What are some shows that kinda suck even though the premise/ the concept/ other parts of it are great/ promising/ sound really interesting?

I'll start: Evil
The character archetypes are enticing, the set design is charming, and the villain is played by a great actor, but the show gets worse the longer you watch because the characters stay really flat and the portrayal of the women is kind of icky. Both of the main female characters turn into these horny, crazy, male-centered caricatures.  Combined with the extremely unsatisfying conclusions of each episode and the pointless vagueness, the show gets boring fast.

From
Seasons 1-2 started with great momentum
Season 3 seriously dragged to the point I lost interest in most of the characters
It sucks you in but I’m glad season 4 is the last

It’s really good but some of the characters are annoying

another pick is, all of us are dead
it only sucks because of the long wait for season 2

I feel this with unforgettable, om on the last season now but I feel it kind of went to shit

I saw they had been cancelled a lot of times tho n then randomly uncancelled so mby that has smth to do with it, I saw also that the last season ends on a cliffhanger which makes sense if they were cancelled again, but I feel at that point of being cancelled multiple times u should start trying to make each season wrapped up properly

But my main gripe is that after season 1 they just forgot all about the big mystery aka who killed the sister of the main character, which is the reason she became a cop in the first place, and the reason she came back to being a cop in season 1. Also very much switching of side characters

OH i thought of one, the 100
it started out so great, albeit a bit cringey (if they took the concept and made it actually serious it would be sm better hh) but then the later seasons derailed so badly

I don't even really remember what happens in the show anymore tbh... but that's the issue.
They had such a good setup with a slow "monster of the week" sort of show that could slowly grow into something bigger, slowly being the keyword there. But no. Just increasingly "end of world" scenarios each season. How many times can you kill "THE BIG BAD" until every "big bad" feels cheap? I'm seriously so mad like... it's literally the most basic story teller shit you learn in daycare.
But it's not just sabrina. Every modern show is like this now.
I'm just really salty about sabrina bc I loved the atmosphere and the actors. Especially at the time witchy stuff like that was not overdone yet either.

I love episodic tv but it's a dying category.

Yes, I partially blame netflix for this, the stakes had to be super high all the time or people got bored by a show.

But the thing is... is that really true?? I know that's what they say. But everyone is saying that they are bored bc the shows are bad??? And doing this super hype bigger and bigger thing is boring?
I feel like it has more to do with out of touch people at the top. Not sure exactly which people. But I feel like it's some case of "you need to wow the audience we don't have time to build up a good story!!!" coming from someone who is misguided. Cause' the series who actually do care about a slow buildup (at least at first) has done really good? Severance for example.

Or maybe it's the writers that feel so insecure about the future of their show that they feel stressed to write like this?? But I think it was unsure and stressful for writers before "in the tv-times" too tho
