Being sad isn't just crying all day long, it's more like having many mixed feelings. Often my mind would go blank and I wouldn't be able to focus on one thing - my whole thoughts would just be too mazy (-> white items and hair with many little details). But at the same time the feeling of depression would arise, as if it slowly captured me from my feet to my head (-> black colored items). This theme might be a little dark for some people, but it's a little girl who is a victim of severe child abuse. I tried not to make it super showy because child abuse is ugly and very heartbreaking. Child abuse is repulsive for everyone to hear but it's very sad to think about how that poor child is never going to be the same after.
