Nah, there is no difference, however it feels softer having plastic. I had snakebites before and they were also plastic, but i used to chew on them lol 
haha yeah I did that too with my spider bites, not too good for the teeth when it's surgical steel   Well I'll definitely go look for some nice plastic jewelry, thank you!
