most of my high school teachers studied english in england, so they all had that accent because they lived there for over 4 years
but to be fair, most people in my class all had an american accent (which btw, what accent do you want people to really have??)
this will probably offend offende a lot of people but i think brittish accent is very unattractive. i think it's enough that english people have brittish accents

also, what kind of british do you think? all british, or the regional differences or the classicist differences?

well, to be fair, it stems from the french influence
couleur
as I have an affinity to French (because I learned French at the age of 7 and English at the age of 12 - let that sink in), so I prefer the british spelling

I have a good example. alicia vikander. SWEDISH ACTRESS

i honestly don't see why it's such a big problem, like american english comes from british english, and at least in my school we were taught that british was the "correct" english 🤷

the funny thing is we're not faking american accents but when they speak with a british accent it's faking? because speaking the accent of your home country is also unacceptable

exactly, like why does it matter what accent someone has if you're still able to understand them
