I responded with yes because my first thought was school
I don't think kids should be "rewarded" for getting good grades.
yeah, what's wrong with a "well done" or "great job"

That is annoying but also I do think children need different things, like if a kid won't do anything at all with put rewards or whatever, fine enough, but why reward a kid just doing to work anyway cus they might not struggle as bad with it
yeah i do agree with this but when i was younger and i had good behavior, i always remember wanting the attention the "bad" kids got lol

do you think that hindered you or helped you?

I think diplomas of participation in special events like sports are cool when you are young. However, when you're a teen you're grown up and can deal with loosing\not winning, and to learn to enjoy stuff without having to get something for it to be worthwhile.

Ouff
But anyways I think better formulated, I think rewards should be given when a kid does something they found hard but managed ut anyway, so like, if a parent has 2 kids, one of them struggles to go to school n feels horrible abt it n one feels good abt going to school, I think its fine to reward the kid struggling without rewarding the other kid for example. Most likely it will even out probably either way
