I feel like it has alot to do with what you are diagnosed with. I have had a long journey with psych wards 2. I was misdiagnosed with Bpd and the way they treated me with that diagnosis on the paper was inhuman, much like the way they treat you. I got a new diagnosis some time ago and it is Schizoaffective disorder and the way they treat me with that is SOOO much better, its like they suddenly care. The thing is that I have always been me no matter what diagnosis I have had and it just show how much diagnosis matter in the psych, when it should not. It should matter about the person, it should matter about the hurt

Not saying its like that for you, but I wanted to share a little of my story to let you know that you are not alone. You deserve to be treated like a human being with a life that's valuable, because your life is, and they don't show that to you. It´s crazy that the psych makes you believe that your life ain´t worth anything, but it is

Well its very complex but in my experience the system has like a ranking system , and basically bpd is at the bottom. They believe that people with BPD should not be admitted because they get worse. They believe in making you responsible for your own health and choices, so by sending you home where you may DIE is better, because idk, its stupid. The treatment is often based on that everything that has happened to you is your fault. I got told I could react different when my mother hit me to not be hit, like wtf. People with bpd is often in crisis, and are hurting ALOT inside, maybe more than others. I think its just their culture, it´s in their "bone marrow" in a way. Hard to explain. I believe that people should be cared about no matter the diagnosis, everybody deserves to be seen and heard <3

Yes it's a common thing but then like with everything you have those people who disagree and has gotten super great help. Lack of money/resources maybe?? idk. You're in there to sleep and get meds and then they contact regular psych and say you've been there, that's just how it is.

It's a shame you feel so bad and tried to take your life. It's also a pity that psychiatry can't help, as they should be able to do. I think you should try to seek care at a health center/hospital and talk to a psychologist/psychotherapist because they can probably help you better than psychiatry.

To try to get you on other thoughts, I want to ask:
Do you have a bright spot in your life?
Are you looking forward to something fun that will happen in the future?
Do you have something you're happy about that you can do more?

i already have contact with regular outpatient psych. my next appointment is right before christmas, my last appointment was in september. I'm not allowed to go to the health care center and see a therapist because they only treat depression/anxiety.

The only reason I have to stick around rn is so I can go to work, I have motivation for nothing else.

It's good that you have someone to talk to. It feels strange that the health center can't talk about such things. If I were a curator (something similar) and worked there, I would have received all the topics of conversation.

Can you try to think that it will be good and fun at work and fun to meet all your co-workers?
