if happiness is a choice why would ppl choose to be depressed
laziness?
For me, im just too lazy but generally I manage very well to drag myself out of the bad n into a more positive happy mindset by working on it or forcing it until it becomes true (not that long anyways). Ofc there r times where u have to b sad or whatever cus forever hapiness is unobtainable but theres a difference between trying and not, and u will most certainly feel a lot better if u try and don't just sink into it

i agree. i think dwelling on things you can't control won't make you happy so if you do it then you're choosing unhappiness. you can choose happiness by changing what you do have control over. you have to accept that you can't control everything, when you do that you choose to be happy.

like i literally had suicidal depression from age 13-19 and i didnt' feel better until i decided to do the work to feel better. it was absolutely a choice.
Yeah same, idk it wasn't rlly that much working but I realized, I didn't have it as bad as I thought, and also forcing happiness works for me idk, the whole mindset of everything is fine, and it truly rlly is fine. Blah blah

I mean I had it bad but only cus I was wallowing in it, no point in wallowing, n when I stopped, I was fine. N now im fine. Goodbye sadness. I was just, what is the POINT of being sad, what is the POINT of being crazy, n then,  I wasn't any of those things anymore, thank god

this little girl is at the very beginning of her journey. she's not at the point yet where she should be espousing knowledge to anyone else.

Perhaps "better" would be an even better term than happier

no i think they mean different things

a good choice doesnt necessarily make u happy and vice versa

better is certainly the better term for like, long term happiness, but short term they dont necessarily mean the same thing
