I think many ff is so bad because it was written by young/inexperienced authors, not because you have to write bad.

Yeah I know, but idk, I feel like u need to be just as creative n planning if ur gonna write a good book even tho it might b from a show or a book from before, so in that sense its an original work. Theres not rlly much advantages or "easier" to write fanfiction than other books, tho obv considering the quality level tho

I mean you don't have to come up with original characters but often all that means is pretty much just names so yeah, I agree.

Yeah, plus u need the skill to actually write them in character, which is apparantly surprisingly hard
