Another thing that's apparently "unpopular"..

Taboo and stigmatized topics are okay in art? Painting a murder scene (example) Doesn't glorify or romanticize murdering someone, just like painting or making a photography series with alcohol, drugs, s*lf h*rm and etc doesn't inherently romanticize these things.

I'm just tired of people calling everything glorification and romanticization, just because they don't agree with what the art portrays. Ugh.

Learn what words mean.. before using them.. please.
I feel like its always p clear what the artists intentions are/if theyre romanticizing sth bad

i guess. for something to be considered art, it has to take time and serious effort to get to the place where you're able to do it? if you hang a bunch of slime on a wall, sorry that's worthless trash and the fact that u get to exhibit it is a disgrace

I love how people can interpret art in so many different ways, and I do realize that most "things" can be art - HOWEVER! I think it's fucking stupid if you take a picture of an apple, and call it "art" without having done anything to or with the picture.

Also, another thing that might contradict what I just said, but I don't think art always has to have meaning behind it. If I feel like painting a woman one day, I don't have to justify or explain what the meaning of the said painting is, I just felt like painting a woman.
capturing a good photo w the perfect lighting is art doe

I hate how many peple sorta act like redrawing pictures photorealistic is harder/more impressive than like drawing cartoons n stuff
Bc it's like, 4 cartoons n shit u still gotta grasp anatomy n sht it's just tht ur making it all up urself n stuff, idk i just feel like it doesn't get enough credit while just redrawing already existing photo's is rlly idk  overrated?

I think Rothko and Pollock are brilliant and talented artist that get into a deeper meaning of art, and the fact they both paint emotions and from a place of process it means no one else could ever recreate what they have done

hah thank you Im very emotional to rothko the museum near my school hosted his show and his last paintings are really emotional in person, like in the all black canvas you can see red, green, and purple and it hurts to know he took his life and these were his emotions towards the end
