man i first read the handmaids tale right around the time trump first got elected and i kept freakin myself out with some of the parallels i was seeing to reality lmao

like theres this one line in there “But I'm ravenous for news, any kind of news; even if it's false news, it must mean something.” and i read that like a couple months into trumps presidency i think kellyanne already said some shit about alternative facts and i read taht line and i was like lmao same when do i end up a baby making slave lmao
