Tho every piercing I've successfully healed, I've used the LITFO method
"leave it the fuck alone" lol
what the fuck how
but also kinda get u, saltwater is "neutral", where as ppl who uses like tea tree oil or hydrogen peroxide, blows my mind, like r u ok
If you use stuff like that just kills healthy new cells - which you want to keep

0.9% saline solution has a similar pH to your own skin.
idk i just do what my pierced told me, that i trust the most, they are some of the first one to have a studio in denmark. usually it isnt any problems, but i probably started wearing high waisted pants too early, so my belly piercing is not rlly having it
Belly rings are NOTORIOUSLY long to heal - like, up to a year. And you definitely can't have stuff rubbing on it.  I gave up on mine.
and a lot of folks don't have the right anatomy for them but a trustworthy piercer should be honest about that with you.

my nostril's healed nicely after 'round a month of bein' pierced, and i didn't clean it like,, once oop
if you clean the hole too much it will get used to bein' clean and thus will get infected more easily, or so my sister said

tbh for a belly ring that is under clothing, and not getting dirt and stuff in it like exposed skin would, you really shouldn't need to clean it any more than just showering.

when I got my nose pierced I only "cleaned" it on the days I didn't shower.

but nose piercing are also 2-3 months to heal, body piercings can take 6-12 months, when i stopped caring about it, it was probably still healing

I'd go back to your piercer if you're really concerned.
Belly rings are nasty healers.

tbh i have heard that a lot about nostril piercings, only those though. i believe that would be true too, but i cleaned as how i was supposed to and then stepped it down when i thought it was okay to do so. i guess i was too impatient lmao
