idk if we have like, inferior road crews or infrastructure or what
but like, power outages pretty much every time it snows and they can't keep the roads clear for anyone to get out
It's most likely both. I mean, I can sit here and laugh about it meanwhile if it's 30c in Norway the rails are like goodbye
Not that it's very frequent that it is above 20 ever tho.
I mean.. I would estimate it's 50 cm snow here now
I guess places that get snow and cold more often have to be prepared.
What I don't get - is that weather has progressively gotten worse over the past ten years and the southern US has not seemed to bother to get more prepared...
If Norway treated snow and cold temperatures as the US seemingly does it would have been a very......... hm.......... useless country. Like.. we'd be dead. Straight up.
The winter comes, every single year, sometimes more than once per year. If you're not prepared you'll die.

To the most northern parts of Sweden it’s often another train company that runs so they’re a bit more prepared but here in Stockholm, where it still snows every year, they’re always mind blown when the first snowflake drops

That's fair
I've been in Kentucky seven years, and there's been several years where we've barely had winter at all. Maybe a few tiny snows, but that is it.

I moved to the literal arctic area of Norway in July and the snow from the previous winter was still around on the mountains lmfao, I think it was fully gone in September and the first snow came in.. Late October. I was a bit disappointed by the amount until honestly 3 weeks ago lool.
