Sounds a lot like my childhood.
So many kids not allowed to hang with me because my mom was young and did not make me go to church.
When I moved from Florida to North Carolina I had food thrown at me daily at school for being a heathen.

when I moved to Kentucky my roommates boyfriend played along with one of those door-to-door church ladies and she kept coming back so much I had to move
