But it's not that easy when there's emotions involved

Funnily enough he actually kind of is a professional....
He's even offered to look into possible medications for me

This is unethical. Professionals shouldn’t be doing that in their personal lives. This is literally another red flag lmao.

I was kinddaaaa in the boyfriend's shoes,
but i like told my ex and current man that I will NOT relay on them for that 100%, I WILL talk about it if I feel like it but not like... not like that
I did tell em the truth about how my current situation is, but BECAUSE I was serious with our relationship and with them,
I made sure that they're not going to become my therapists, as well
I have one, and I made sure to always go to him (also a psychologist) as I know how unfair it can be for your significant other to just dump everything on you, because no matter which situation is worse, yours or his, it is NEVER fair to do this to your partner.

Be there for him, yes, but he NEEDS help, and that help is not you, it's someone professional.
You can be there to support him going to get help and motivate him to do that, but not to be the therapist or psychologist.

If he's an ACTUAL professional, he would tell you to find another professional to help you with meds that is not him, super unethical and just wrong.

Depends what they mean by "looking into". My dad looks into medication for me sometimes, by that I mean he researches medication that might help me and then brings it up to my psychiatrist.

Father\son relationship is a bit different then 2 partners though
Also he's not straight up offering you the meds. but just brings it up to your psychiatrist

I don't think it's different legally, and that's why I said it depends.

Depends on the country I guess and well, how much involved the other person is getting, but yeah... now I wonder really about the legal side of it

Yeah I think that's an ok thing to do, but as I took it he was a professional and I thought he intended to give her the medications personally? I'm wondering if that's what she meant or I misunderstood her
