in case anyone is curious lol
cervical spinal stenosis (narrowing of space within the spine for the cord)
degenerative disc disease (loss of cushioning between vertebrae)
facet hypertrophy (enlargement of facet joint)
disc osteophyte complex (spinal bone spurs)
and loss of cervical lordosis (loss of natural curve in my neck)

all things that happen to most people, but I'm much much too young to be experiencing it. Like my cervical spine essentially looks like it belongs to a 60+ y/o woman.

Sounds like a scary thing in your neck honestly, is it a bigger surgery? any risks or anything?

Also yea i had 5-6 smaller surgeries
I reckon anything that close to my spinal cord has some risks
I think right now they think the risk of surgery is greater than the risk of waiting
if the condition gets bad enough it could paralyze me but I'd have much more obvious and severe symptoms before something like that happens
So it's like potato potato, just weighting the things as long as you can. I honestly get why you would wanna wait a bit with taking the choice! I would for sure look into details on what the risks actually are and such first!
I mean it's not entirely up to me. Insurance and the doctors get final say. I'll do whatever they ask me to, but in the meantime it's very hard to work...

I'm going to ask my doctor to order an MRI on my upper and middle back as well, just because I feel pain there as well, almost more than in my neck.

I just got this bizarre letter from my insurance company that I don't understand at all, but it looks like they may not have approved more physical therapy
