i guess he knows what he's doing, muting her or the app they use when he gives you the phone, all to look like he has pure intentions

some people cheat just to feel like they are in power, one step ahead or whatever. the reason can differ a lot, doesn't have to be because they are tired of their partner, can just be because they have low self esteem and want to lift it.

you don't need to tolerate any of that. you are better than that. remember it's not your fault if he cheats on you, it's all on him and he can't blame you.
