Most people will get gastritis before an ulcer forms. It's very very painful, and feels a lot like an ulcer. You gotta temporarily change your diet, I used to get it and can give you some food advice later when i get back home
Yeah sure, if u could say like food types not to eat/drink etc would b good
Yeah so the only reason I'm not gonna be like "go to a doctor!" is because this is basically what they will tell you to do before they'll give you a scope to diagnose an ulcer.
theres an over the counter medicine you get called Omeprazole (that's the generic drug name in the US, I dunno what it's called where you are), and that will lower the amount of stomach acid for a while while you try to heal and feel better.
Things with lots of acid, fat, and sugar are going to really irritate it - so try to avoid stuff like that for a few weeks (which is hard to avoid completely, but reduce it as much as you can, and the medicine will help you eat)
having an empty stomach is even more painful because the lining of the stomach is very irritated, and when your stomach is empty, the acid is right up on that irritation, so what I did was I ate a lot of sticky stuff - such as oatmeal, which helped coat the lining of my stomach. Stuff with lots of fiber helps, plain veggies are good, try to eat less red meat.
And if you can get probiotic vitamins or fermented foods that will help a lot too. That's how I kept it from coming back, I eat fermented foods.
you REALLY need to avoid alcohol as long as you can, because that's usually what causes it, and many folks try to drink too soon, causing it to come back.
Obviously if it gets worse, or you start throwing up blood, go to a doctor!
When I had gastritis (& possibly a mild ulcer) - it was quite literally the most painful experience of my life, I really thought I was dying.
Ouff its not that painful for me, it also feels very much better now than when I made the thread so might have been my throat infection messing up my stomach a bit idunno, but mostly just felt like stinging burning in my stomach, not the same feeling as when im hungry but kinda similar. I'll try not drinking yes cus I sometimes get acid reflux from drinking and if I get that normally, I would figure it would be a theousand times worse if I have some issue in my stomach from before lol. Also will see if my dad can buy me stuff that lowers stomach acid too, cus I often have problems feeling extremely sick if I don't eat enough, so sick ill just puke and I can't get anything down at that point and existing is just pain, so it mightttt help in those cases to actually be able to eat something too? Idk, just since my stomach won't feel so irritated mby
